For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in...
With a reputation for providing delicious, home-cooked meals, the St. Andrew Church homeless ministry serves breakfasts at the Hulen Homeless Shelter in Riverside the first and second Saturday of the month. Committed volunteers give regularly of their time and resources. Volunteer cooks prepare the food and serve the residents.
Our goal is to increase the number of breakfasts we serve each month at the shelter. As a growing ministry, we welcome new volunteers to assist in these areas. We invite you to bring your talent and help serve your brothers and sisters in need. Consider sponsoring a breakfast. Individuals, families, or groups can commit to helping with food costs, preparation, and serving.
The cycle of preparation, transportation, and meal service begins at the Hulen Shelter at 5am in the morning, with breakfast being served at 6pm. Volunteers help as they can within this time period.
